We hope that you find our site of interest and that we answer some of the questions you may have about our activities and organisational structure.

REACT UK is based in Dundee on the North East coast of Scotland, and has been chartered by REACT International as Team # 6085 since 2003. 

2014 - REACT UK City of Dundee were invited to a civic reception with the Lord Provost of Dundee at the city chambers.

Who is the REACT UK?

REACT UK is a uniformed not for profit volunteer organisation which aims to serve our community by providing trained and disciplined volunteers of all ages, dedicated to serving the community providing both public safety and emergency support assistance to community groups or charitable organisations.


We also organise and train our volunteers to become emergency responders to assist in times of local emergencies.

As an organised and professionally trained volunteer organisation, REACT UK continues to assist:

  • North of Scotland Regional Resilience Partnership, 

  • Police Scotland (North of Scotland Command Area), 

  • Scottish Fire & Rescue (Service Delivery Area North), 

  • NHS Tayside,

  • The Salvation Army (Dundee Corps), 

  • Dundee City Council Emergency Planning Dept,

  • Angus Council Emergency Planning Dept, 

  • Perth & Kinross Emergency Planning Dept, 

  • British Divers Marine Life Rescue, 

  • Ye Ancient Amphibious Bathers Association.

REACT UK is self funding, we receive no funding from government or local authorities and are dependent upon financial donations from the public and business sponsorship or product donation. We offer our services to community groups and the emergency services free of charge and will enter into memorandum of understanding as part of our preparedness arrangements.
